Privacy — Zenith Focus

Zenith Focus is built around a "zero collection" principle. We do not create accounts, run no servers, and collect no personal data — with one exception, detailed below: your approximate location, if you enable the weather feature.

Stored data

All your data (focus statistics, streaks, session history, settings, custom rituals and breathing techniques, sound mix) is stored locally on your devices — your iPhone or iPad, and your Apple Watch if you use it (see below) — and shared with the widgets through a local App Group. We run no server to receive it: it is never sent to us.

Apple Watch

If you use the Zenith Focus app on an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, the two apps communicate through WatchConnectivity, the mechanism Apple provides to keep a Watch app in sync with its iPhone app:

from iPhone to Watch: the current session's state (ritual, time remaining, playing or paused), your custom rituals, your breathing techniques and, if you use weather, the suggested soundscape (not your location);
from Watch to iPhone: the results of sessions done on the watch (type, duration, date, completed or interrupted), for your statistics, and pause/resume commands.

These exchanges happen between your devices; Zenith Focus does not send them to any server, ours or a third party's. Their delivery is handled by Apple.

iCloud backup

If iCloud backup is on ("Automatic backup" setting, on by default, can be turned off at any time), a copy of your settings, rituals, custom breathing techniques, statistics and session history is saved to your own iCloud account, so you can get them back after reinstalling or on another device. This copy is stored and delivered by Apple; we have no access to it. It contains neither your location, nor your Health data, nor your purchase information.

Location

If you enable the weather feature, the app uses your approximate location (latitude/longitude), rounded to about 1 km before it leaves the device, solely to query the Open-Meteo weather service and Apple's geocoding service (to show your city name). These coordinates are:

not stored,
not linked to your identity,
not used for tracking.

You can deny or revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings.

Health

If you turn on Health sync (off by default, in Settings), the app writes your completed breathing sessions to Apple Health as mindful minutes. Zenith Focus never reads any Health data — this information stays managed by Apple's Health system on your device, is never sent to us, and you can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

Purchases

The one-time "Full Access" purchase is handled entirely by Apple (StoreKit). We neither receive nor store any payment information.

Tracking & advertising

No tracking, no ads, no third-party analytics. Zenith Focus does not use App Tracking Transparency because it tracks nothing.
